Principles for Harmonious Living ...

Strive to ensure that all activities are noble, as all that we do is returned in kind, good or bane. Do as you wish provided you harm none.

Seek harmony with Nature and community, in ecological and social balance, offering fulfillment to life and consciousness. Work responsibly within our world towards that which is contributory to health and well-being, of the individual and the whole.

Protect the rights of individuals from those who seek to unjustly deny freedom and suppress differing beliefs and practices. Mock not the practices or beliefs of another, for we are all teachers, as well as students.

Support diversity as it is key to harmony. The Universe manifests through many different, and often seemingly opposing forces. These forces exist for harmony, not as competing forces. Each is supportive of the other. Boundless growth is natural potential within all.

Do not seek position in ruling or power from hierarchical organization. Seek only to balance and share. Take no more than you can give. Be wary of enforcing morals. Lead, rather than control.

Honor those who teach, respect those who share their knowledge and wisdom, and acknowledge those who give of themselves in leadership.

Seek knowledge. Recognize the need for progressive thought if we are to achieve harmonious relationships with our ever changing World. Acknowledge a depth of potential far greater than is apparent to common thought. Maintain progressive thought, as we seek to avoid the entanglements of the past, and move through growth in the present as we are concerned with the manifestation of the future.

Knowledge can see the power of healing for our World, but knowledge unused is only knowledge. Activity and energy must be focused and directed with knowledge to manifest concepts into reality.

The human experience is multi-faceted, and we see the interaction of these worlds as the basis of progress. We shall neglect none for the other, as all are necessary for our fulfillment. Attune with the natural rhythms of life forces. As above, so below.

We acknowledge that it is the affirmation and fulfillment of Life in a continuation of evolution and development of consciousness that gives meaning to the Universe we know, and to our personal role within it. Change is a constant.

Strength cannot be gained through the suffering of others, nor can rewards be achieved by denial to another. An' it harm none, do what thou wilt. Feed off others and one day others will feed off you in like.

After some thought I have decided to present the following article. More than a guide to conduct on Wolf Howls, I hope these principles of harmonious living prove beneficial in all aspects of life. Please take the moment to read them.

Take the responsibility of rights, live without enforcing morals. Respect the world around you and live worthy of it's respect in return. As you browse Wolf Howls remember; it is a public place, open to opinions and views from a multitude of differing perspectives. Management of Wolf Howls will strive to maintain a harmonious exchange, a source of community information and outlet, a center of communication and organization. Not all perspectives represented will likely agree on all subjects. But, words have no meaning if we don't assign them ourselves. Try not to be offended by disagreements, and don't offend with yours. Wolf Howls could not possibly assume responsibility for everything posted within it's pages, and so I will not attempt to convey that. Each author is free to express their own opinion, and carry that responsibility. Wolf Howls will however do what is possible to maintain civil exchange of information and opinion. Wolf Howls does maintain the right to move, edit, delete or alter any posting as Wolf Howls sees fit. Basically what it comes down to is respect and be respected.

Smell may very well be the fastest way to induce emotional response. Helen Keller once wrote:

"Smell is a potent wizard that transports us across thousands of miles and all the years we have lived. The odors of fruits waft me to my southern home, to my childhood frolics in the peach orchard. Other odors, instantaneous and fleeting, cause my heart to dilate joyously or contract with remembered grief. If you have ever even relaxed in a bath scented with essential oils, then you have already experienced a taste of the magick available from aromatherapy. Aromatherapy has been defined as a holistic approach to health and well being by means of aromas - scents derived primarily from the plant kingdom. I am Weeblewolf, the guy who is attempting to compose this rather chaotic and far-reaching dream. I have played with internet streaming for some 15 years now and thouroughly enjoy it. Through several collapses and rebuilds I have managed to watch The Howl grow and take form, to the extent it has. There is still much The Howl has yet to accomplish. ... And that is where you come in. Your input is more than welcome with The Howl. In fact it is listener feedback that will direct the biggest part of the expansion as The Howl reaches for harmony within the diversity of the pack.

Curry Public Library needs a new building.

About mid October Wolf Howls released the first of it's catalogs offering support to The Curry Public Library Building Fund. There are about 500 catalogs circulating through Gold Beach. Each catalog offers 25% of the order value to the Curry Public Library Building Fund. Catalog distribution has been supported by local business, and several have catalogs still available.
